Below are all of the antique pine chests of drawers we currently have for sale.
If currently in the bare wood the prices shown include wax polishing and any restoration required. After restoration all drawers will be running smoothly, knobs or handles secure and everything will be fit for purpose.
If you are contemplating buying a chest of drawers in its current condition (in bare wood and/or unrestored), and are unable to visit, please ask to be notified of its exact condition, so we can explain any restoration which may be needed.

Most of the chests of drawers we sell are genuine old pieces, some Victorian, some from Eastern Europe, although we very occasionally find good reproductions. This is made clear description, together with dimensions and price. We also state whether the piece is waxed or in the bare wood. If it is in the bare wood and you would like to purchase it as it is please let us know and we will reduce the price accordingly.
When restored and waxed, the drawers will be sliding nicely but quite often there are no keys for any locks. If you require keys then please let us know as we may be able to have some cut for you.
You will notice the many different styles of chests. Danish examples were very often tall and slim, some with as many as 6 or 7 drawers. Sometimes these would have had no knobs, but would have been opened using the key. We can fit knobs on any chests of drawers if required.
East German chests were typically made from slightly thicker wood, rather than the Victorian and Danish examples which are lighter and slightly more delicate.
All of these chests of drawers can be seen in our warehouse in Haddenham, Bucks, 35 mins from Oxford, just an hour from London.
