Here’s a large English pine chest of drawers dating from around 1910–1915, full of character and with a slightly quirky appearance that adds to its charm.

One of the first things you’ll notice is that the left-hand side differs slightly from the right, giving the piece an individual look and a bit of personality. It is currently in bare wood and awaiting restoration.

The chest is fairly rustic at present and requires some work before it is ready for use. The drawers are not running as smoothly as they should and will need adjusting, along with a few small repairs and areas of filling. Once restored and waxed, however, it will make a lovely and characterful piece of furniture.
