A charming and very early small Victorian pine chest of drawers, likely dating from the early Victorian period. The piece features two small drawers over two full-width drawers, giving it a pleasing and practical layout. At some point in its life, reproduction brass drop handles have been fitted, though we may be able to source a set of original early Victorian drop handles to suit the age and character of the piece.

There is some trim around the top and on the left and right sides that requires replacing, and there is a slight burn mark running down the right-hand side — most likely from a candle in its earlier life. This is a minor blemish that will not disappear entirely, but it adds to the rustic, honest character of this early piece. Overall, the chest is in fair, rustic condition and will respond beautifully to a full restoration and wax finish, which is included in the price.
