Early English Victorian Pine Writing Bureau (G1752C)

£447.00

A small old English pine writing bureau, dating from the early Victorian era (c.1835). With a fold back writing lid, opening on to decoratively carved stationary drawers, each with their original brass pull rings. The lock is in good working order. The top of the bureau then completely lifts up to reveal the inside. We think this was a "secret compartment" as you are able to lock the two front drawers from the inside.

An interesting and quirky piece of furniture.

It can be bought as it is, in its rustic state, for £400. Or we can clean it up and wax it for you, for £447

Height 36”, width 28”, depth 21”
