Here’s a very interesting old pine box, quite a small one, with carrying handles on both ends.

It was originally painted and has since been stripped and waxed, though it could do with re-waxing as there are a few blemishes. The lid simply lifts off, and the box is zinc-lined, which would have protected the contents from moisture. It was most likely used as a grain bin, though possibly for flour.

The box is solid and in nice condition overall, with just a couple of splits in the top, which is typical, and could be repaired if desired.
