Antique pine sleigh beds & other items for sale

On this page you may find items like old pine sleigh beds, cots, cradles, antique skis, copper cauldrons & dog carts (see video for some examples), mirrors, and architectural antiques etc which do not fit into other categories. We have fairly regular deliveries of old pine sleigh beds, many of them with the classic ‘knob end’ design. All of these beds dismantle into their 4 main sections for delivery, and can be supplied with slats if required.

Made-to-measure mattresses can be found by searching online, but please let us know if you have difficulty finding one suitable, as we have a mattress company we regularly use. The required mattress dimensions will be in the description.

Most beds will be still in bare wood (having recently been stripped of their original paint), and you will see we have priced them available to purchase as they are without slats, or waxed and with slats. If you require the bed in bare wood (or current condition) with slats, please let us know, and we can price accordingly.

New arrivals are now being added to the website as soon as they reach our warehouse, allowing you to see stock much sooner.

Some recently added items may have preliminary photographs and descriptions while we prepare more detailed listings. If you would like additional photographs, a video, or further information about any piece, please contact us and we'll be happy to provide it.

We will continue to improve and expand these listings as we work our way through the latest stock.

Large Old Green Painted Hay Cart (H4457B)

£350.00

Here’s a large old hay cart, still in its original green paint. Believed to be East German, and dating from around 1920. These were also known as dog carts, as they were once pulled by working dogs.

It is fully functional and everything is working as it should. The only issue is a small section of rail at the back that needs fixing, as one little piece is missing. Otherwise, it’s in good condition.

Price: £350.

Height: 28”, length: 52”, width: 28”
