A wonderful old pine wardrobe dating from around 1880, offered in remarkable condition for its age. The piece features two large doors with panelled sides and lovely smooth, curvy edges, topped with an attractive cornice. It stands on shaped bracket feet and incorporates two drawers at the base, which slide smoothly and are solid throughout.

Inside, the wardrobe is currently empty, though evidence of previous shelving can be seen. Both the current asking price and the restored price include the fitting of a new hanging rail. If additional storage is preferred, a shelf fitted above the hanging rail is also available for approximately £40 to cover the cost of the wood — just ask to discuss the options.

The wardrobe retains its original catch on the left-hand side and a fine original box lock complete with its substantial original key, both of which are in full working order.

As is typical of wardrobes of this period, it has been made to dismantle, meaning it should pass up most stairways without difficulty. Delivery is available to most areas of the country and can usually be carried out personally, with reassembly included.
