Very Old Double Pine Wardrobe With Bottom Drawers (H2151E)

£897.00

A very old double pine wardrobe, dating from the mid to late 1800s.

It features two beautifully panelled doors above two drawers at the base. The doors are mounted on external hinges, allowing them to open fully—very practical in use. Original large catches remain in place, adding to its authentic character.

The wardrobe was originally painted but has since been stripped and wax-finished. It could benefit from a fresh coat of wax to enhance the finish. Inside, it is currently bare wood; a replacement strip has been fitted to the back (which can be stained to match), and old shelf supports remain, which can be removed.

The drawers slide smoothly, though a small adjustment may be made so they sit perfectly flush. A pair of matching key plates can also be fitted for a more balanced appearance.

The wardrobe dismantles into two main sections for delivery, splitting vertically down the middle as originally designed. This makes access upstairs or through tight spaces much easier—just check the half-width measurement against your stairway.

With an internal depth of 19”, should be fine for hanging most items of clothing.

The price shown (£897) includes any restoration required, a cleanup, and re-waxing. Also a new brass hanging rail for you.
