A very large and elegant French antique pine wardrobe with a beautiful cornice at the top and panelled sides and doors. The wardrobe stands on bun feet which appear to be original, and features distinctive square blocks at the back — a typical design detail of this style. The shaped, tapered sides and doors give it a particularly graceful silhouette. The escutcheon key plates are fitted to both doors and align neatly on a level floor; a little levelling under the feet can be arranged at the time of delivery if needed.

The wardrobe retains what appears to be its original lock and key, along with catches top and bottom. Internally, there is a shelf that fits near the top, with a hanging rail below — the wardrobe was bought with its original wooden hanging rail, though a new brass hanging rail can be fitted if preferred. The internal hanging depth is 18 inches, which is suitable for most clothing, though it may be a little snug for very large coats or suits.

The piece is in really nice condition for its age and is fully finished and ready to use.
