1930s Antique Pine Mirrored Compactum Wardrobe with Drawers (Dismantles) (N1852H)
1930s Antique Pine Mirrored Compactum Wardrobe with Drawers (Dismantles) (N1852H)
A very well-designed and practical piece, thought to be German in origin and dating from the 1930s. This ‘Compactum’ - wardrobe is an excellent choice for a smaller bedroom, making clever use of space with a combination of hanging storage, shelved cupboard space, and drawer storage all within one unit. The piece has a flat top, providing useful surface storage, and features panelled sides.
To the right-hand side, a single full-length door opens to reveal a hanging section with an internal depth of 20 inches — more than sufficient for coats, suits, and general clothing. There are currently three shelves fitted inside, though these could be adapted to include a hanging rail beneath the top shelf if preferred. To the left, a smaller cupboard door with a mirror opens onto a shelved compartment, currently fitted with a single shelf. Adjustable shelf supports are in place, meaning additional shelves could easily be accommodated to suit your needs. Below the mirrored door sit four drawers, completing the storage arrangement. The mirror itself is clean and in good condition — it may well be original to the piece.
