A large and impressive late Victorian pine dresser, comprising an original late Victorian base with a top that has been made to fit it at a later date. The two elements sit together very well and present as a cohesive and attractive piece.

The base features two large drawers over two doors, with a fixed panel in the centre section — not a door — giving the lower section a balanced and sturdy appearance. Inside, there is a shelf. The drawers retain their original handles, and the doors below have their original catches, which is a pleasing detail on a piece of this age.

The dresser is currently in a wax finish and is in pretty good condition overall, requiring little more than a re-wax and any minor repairs or adjustments to bring it up to a fully restored and wax-finished standard, all of which is included in the price. The overall height to the top is 83 inches, the base surface height is 37 inches, the width is 53 inches, and the depth of the base is 18 inches.
