Antique Pine Secretaire Desk With Secret Drawers (J0405E)

from £950.00

Here's a great example of an antique pine Secrétaire, also known as a bureau. It dates from around the 1920s and is a lovely piece with elegant vertical columns running down each side of the drawers. The writing slope folds neatly up into the front, giving the piece a tidy, classic appearance when closed.

It features four main drawers below the writing section, all running smoothly. Inside the bureau are multiple smaller drawers, a cubby hole, and even several secret drawers cleverly hidden within the design. There are a couple of missing knobs on the inside drawers that will be replaced.

The writing slope currently sits at a slight angle, which can be adjusted to make it more level if preferred. Overall, it’s a solid, well-crafted piece in very good condition for its age.

The price is £950 as it is, or £1,075 if you’d like it waxed.

Height 54.5", width 41.5", depth 22", total depth when writing surface open 33".
