Here’s a lovely old pine larder cupboard we have for sale. It features a single door on the right-hand side and four drawers running down the left. The piece is currently in bare wood, having been stripped recently, and is in very nice condition for its age, dating from around 1900. It appears to have had a new plinth fitted (at the bottom), at some point.

Each drawer has a central wooden knob, and the cupboard door retains its original metal ventilation grille. The door is hung on French-style external hinges, allowing it to open almost fully, which makes access particularly easy.

Inside the cupboard, there’s a shallow shelf at the top and two full-depth shelves below. These shelves are fitted and work well as they are. All the drawers run smoothly. When the door is closed, it also secures the drawers; however, this can be adjusted so the drawers remain accessible even when the door is shut, if you’d like that alteration made.
