A very useful antique pine larder cupboard, sometimes known as a bread cupboard. The piece features five drawers down the left-hand side and a single door to the right, which retains its original vent — a charming and functional period detail.

The cupboard has been stripped and waxed at some point in the past but is currently in need of attention, making it an ideal project piece. The plan would be to remove the old wax, clean the piece up thoroughly, and re-wax it to a good finish. Internally, the paintwork is blemished and would benefit from sanding down and repainting. Alternatively, the paint on the inside of the door could be stripped and the interior re-waxed throughout — this is entirely a matter of customer preference and can be discussed.

The drawers are all sliding nicely and smoothly, and the piece is structurally solid throughout. Some minor attention is needed to the trim of the door and the lock requires fixing. Price shown is a guide price for the finished, restored piece.
