Antique Pine Column Cupboard 2 Drawers Over 2 Doors (H1503C)

from £500.00

Here’s an old pine cupboard we have for sale.

It has two drawers at the top and two doors below, with carved panels that look very much like mahogany. I don’t believe they are actually mahogany, but they are a darker coloured wood.

The drawers have lovely carved detailing, slightly curved in shape, and the cupboard also features beautiful columns below, on either side of the doors.

It’s currently in bare wood. Both drawers run smoothly, and the doors open with the columns attached. Just be aware when it comes to measuring the width: the sides protrude slightly, so you’ll need to allow a little extra beyond the stated width. The doors do open fully, which could be useful.

Inside, there are three shelves with one central partition. These can be removed or reconfigured if required.

The darker colour of the carved panels is due to the fact that this cupboard was originally made to be painted, so the makers didn’t worry about using different woods for the panels — this is quite common. If you prefer, I could arrange for my carpenter to make replacement pine panels in a lighter tone, though they wouldn’t have the carved detail of course. If that’s of interest, let me know and I can provide a quote.

Price: £500 as it is, or £577 waxed.
