A wonderfully original painted dome-top trunk, dating to the late 1800s or possibly around 1900. This piece was made by Jenkins Brothers, wholesale and retail trunk manufacturers based in Bristol, and retains its original black painted finish throughout. The interior is lined with the original patterned paper, which remains in very nice condition, and the Jenkins Brothers maker's stamp is still clearly visible on the paper lining. A rare and characterful piece with genuine provenance.
