This is a fairly long, rustic antique pine box—ideal for use as a blanket chest, trunk, or even a storage bench. Currently in bare wood, it has a wonderfully aged, characterful appearance and is in good solid condition throughout.

Inside, you'll find a traditional candle box on the left-hand side, originally used to store candles separately from linens and blankets. The chest retains its original penny end strap hinges and has supportive braces on the underside of the lid, making it sturdy and functional.

There is a lock present, though we do not have a key and cannot confirm whether the lock is operational. Carrying handles are fitted at both ends, and the back of the chest is clean and tidy, making it suitable for use in the centre of a room or against a wall.
