Late Victorian Flat Top Blanket Chest (P0455B)

from £320.00

A late Victorian pine blanket chest with a flat top and carrying handles at both ends. Originally painted, it has been stripped and is currently in bare wood, with plenty of character and age marks. It is in very nice condition for its age, with what appear to be its original strap hinges, painted black. The lock is believed not to be working.

A useful storage chest for blankets, bedding or other household items. Strengthening pieces can be added beneath the lid on request if you would like to use it for occasional seating; please ask us about this before purchase.

£320 as it is in bare wood, or £367 waxed.

The room-setting photograph is AI-staged for illustration.
