Antique pine desks

Beautiful selection of antique pine desks for sale.

Sometimes we have desks in which dismantle, but most of them don’t so please be aware when wanting to take upstairs. I can measure the knee hole if you are worried about a particular sized chair you wish to use, so please feel free to contact me if you’d like this measurement.

Most of these desks were originally painted, have been stripped and are currently in the bare wood. You are obviously welcome to buy the pieces as they are, or please feel free to inquire about waxing or painting options.

Antique pine bureau / desk. Circa 1900.

This piece was originally painted. It was stripped a while ago and has now been restored, waxed and is looking great.

Sitting on it’s original bun feet. The 3 large drawers below have brass drop handles and escutcheons (key plates). 6 of the internal drawers have porcelain knobs and the centre one opens with a key, ideal for storing little bits and pieces in.

I think at one time in it’s life this would have had a top piece, maybe glazed, and would have been more of a Secretaire / dresser type of piece instead of a bureau.

When the flap is lowered the surface measures 30″ from the floor (normal table height) so it is perfect to use as a writing desk. A very nice looking and functional piece of furniture.

This piece was made in East Germany around the turn of the century.

Large desk. This has an old sloping mahogany top and a base made from old pine boards painted Farrow & Ball ‘Breakfast Room Green’. 2 large drawers in the top with brass cup handles.

Server – Console table made from reclaimed wood. Base made from old pine and the top from old elm floorboards. The base has been painted in a Farrow and Ball ‘Breakfast Room Green’ and distressed.
